Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of HelloLGBTQ, operated by Garlic Apps ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or otherwise using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use HelloLGBTQ.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use HelloLGBTQ. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older. We don't currently verify age with identity documents — we rely on this representation — but we may suspend or terminate any account we reasonably believe belongs to someone under 18.
2. Your account
You're responsible for the security of your account and everything that happens under it. Keep your password confidential, and tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access. You can use a nickname rather than your legal name — we encourage it — but you may not impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, or deliberately out another user's identity, orientation, or location.
- Impersonate any person, or misrepresent your identity, age, or intentions.
- Post content that is illegal, non-consensual intimate imagery, or that sexualizes minors.
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the app.
- Circumvent a block or any safety feature.
- Use the app to solicit money, run a scam, or advertise without our permission.
- Interfere with or attempt to disrupt the app's infrastructure.
We may remove content, mute, ban, or otherwise take action against accounts that violate these rules, using the reporting and moderation tools built into the app.
4. Content you post
You retain ownership of the content you post. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute that content as necessary to operate the app (for example, showing your posts to other users). This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where content has already been shared by others or where we're permitted to retain a limited record as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Dating, matching, and meeting people
HelloLGBTQ helps you connect with other people, including through matching and Radar, but we don't run background checks on users and can't guarantee the identity, intentions, or safety of anyone you interact with. You're responsible for your own safety in every interaction, especially when meeting someone in person — meet in public places, tell a friend where you're going, and trust your judgment. Use the block and report features whenever something feels wrong.
6. Account deletion and termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Your data → Delete account; this is immediate and permanent, as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, pose a safety risk to other users, or as required by law.
7. Disclaimers
HelloLGBTQ is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that you'll find what you're looking for through it. Nothing in these Terms is a substitute for professional legal, medical, or safety advice.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Garlic Apps will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including damages resulting from interactions with other users. This is a general framework and not a substitute for jurisdiction-specific legal advice.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product evolves. We'll update the date at the top of this page, and for material changes, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify you directly.
